Mon, 20 October 2008 Juan and Raph talk about a whole buncha stuff. We finish off our political thoughts, discuss Fall TV, a Wall of Trades segment and Juan reviews the Force Unleashed. A nice short show. Spoilers for Heroes, Chuck, Pushing Daisies, Terminator, Fringe, JSA Volume 4, The Complete Maus and the Force Unleashed. THE RETURN OF THE BLOOPER REEL! Wed, 8 October 2008 Raph and Juan try to overcome rust and sound issues to deliver a political discussion. Juan very intellectually discusses the issues, while Raph tries to fit in at the big boy table. Seriously, I sound horrible. I actually sound like the average American who doesn't pay attention to politics and isn't living up to his civic responsibility... wow this episode description just took a turn... I also managed to insult half of America.... It was a rough night, okay?
In a two part discussion, we talked about the two candidates, we discussed our personal politics, a little bit of the current financial crisis and who we supported (Obama) and we discussed the horror of Sarah Palin. In the 2nd half, we get back into Raph's comfort zone and talk DC Decisions, Superman Annual #3, Superman: Red Son and the level of reality comics can attain, and what it can't do.
...
I'm gonna go read up on the candidates now. I'm sorry America.

Wed, 6 August 2008 Another special Raph only
episode, I've decided to remove this from the Geeks Unite labeling,
because it is the antithesis of Geeks Unite. It's just me going on and
on about my thoughts and stuff, so here you go. It won't be too
regular, but what the hey? -Raph Music provided by Wolf+Jackal, the song is called sociopath Comments[5] |
Wed, 6 August 2008 Raph, Juan, Brent and Ian sit down to talk Dark Knight. This is taken from a portion of Episode 69 of Comic Timing. On that episode, the four of us sit down to talk Gotham Knight as well. Thanks to Ian and Brent for letting me record this and hijack it for my own use. Remember, stealing is the American way! That's how we got the atom bomb! I'm only kidding of course. Also, All-Star Batman and Joker were nice enough to come by and do the opener... and leave me with 3 of 4 limbs intact! Dark Knight spoilers obviously, with a tiny bit of Gotham Knight spoiler for flavor. Thanks again to All-Star Batman and Joker... will you guys let me go now? Wed, 20 February 2008 This episode was a mess. First, Raph's connection went down a bunch of times (as usual). Then, Raph's audio was not recorded due to the voicemail capabilities of Pretty May. You basically lose the Wall of Trades segment we did. Raph is joined by Brent Kossina of Comic Timing and Cari (Vidara on the forums) to discuss Brand New Day and the first ever Pile Diving segment. We talk Green Arrow/Black Canary #4, Robin #170, Black Adam #6, Iron Man #25, Avengers: The Initiative #6, and Booster Gold #6. The crew is joined by Ian Levenstein sometime in the middle of Avengers: The Initiative. After Pile Diving... we just about all break down and go into pieces and ramble. If you don't like what you hear, well it's free. And sorry. But it's free. No money back guarantees... Comments[7] |
